Overview

The Mojave Road is a rugged 147-mile dirt road across the Mojave National Preserve. The unmaintained road follows an ancient Native American path known as the Mojave Trail that was later used as an overland stagecoach route. The road runs through remote desert and is a destination trip for overlanding expeditions with 4-wheel-drive vehicles. It takes several days to drive the entire length.
